Network Rail has picked 10 contractors to carry out reactive and small schemes across its Eastern region.

Under the five-year deal, with options to extend by a further two years, the firms will share a total spend of around £670m.

Framework awards are split across building and civil asset works in both the Anglia and North & East routes.

Works will include bridge and footbridge repairs, platform reinstatement, culvert maintenance, vegetation management and building refurbishments.

The eastern region small works panel replaces previous fragmented arrangements and is designed to deliver better value and faster response times for infrastructure interventions.
